Hayden Goode completed an excellent January 2012 in Cuesports. Earlier in the month he won the Australian Eight Ball Championship in Canberra ACT and on Saturday (28th) at the Redlands RSL Club Hayden won both the Queensland Under 12 (for the third year in succession) and the Queensland Under 15 Snooker Championship with a high break of 38 clearance.
All players showed improvement in their games and Phil Haycock was pleased with Q-Masters new-comer Callum Mahaoney. Hayden went through both Championships undefeated and all B Grade Pennant players be on the look-out for this up and coming Champion.
News update from the President of the Redlands RSL Snooker Club, Mr Scott Clifford: "The Queensland Billiards and Snooker Association would like to Congratulate Hayden Goode on winning the 2012 Australian U12 8Ball title earlier today. Hayden was last years champion so to defend his title is an impressive feat. Hayden beat fellow Queenslander Nikolas Burnett 6-3 in the final. Hayden's run through the tournament is quite impressive he played 14 games in the round robin section winning them all and only dropping 6 racks whilst winning 42. Previous Champions include Kurt Brown, Guy Allen and some bloke called Neil Robertson. Hayden holds the Current U12 National Snooker title as well and is perhaps the only junior to hold both titles for 2 consecutive years.
