April 15th Report: Seven players contested the 4th "6 Red Sunday" comp at Q-Masters. At the end of the round robin fixtures, Darren Mahoney topped the group with 5 wins and 1 loss. Stephen Killoran, Marius Bam and Matt Taylor all qualified for the semi-finals, each winning 4 from 6 round robin matches. Macwin Fernandes, Leon Bam and Callum Mahoney were the other players. In the semi-finals, Darren accounted for Matt 2 frames to 1, clinching the deciding frame on the black ball. In the other semi-final, Stephen outclassed Marius with a 2-0 victory. Stephen defeated Darren in the final 2-1. Both players potted well throughout the competition and should be congratulated on their efforts. March 18th Report: The QBSA appreciates the time devoted by Mr Matt Taylor as Tournament Director and his report follows - We had 7 players, format was best of 3, round robin. Semifinals best of 3, Final best of 3. The winner was Ray Farley, runner up was Jakk Phillips. Score was 2-1. Losing semifinalists were Matt Taylor (vs Ray) and Garvin Gray (vs Jakk). Other players were Bronson Blackmore, Micky Monaghan and Marius Bam. Total game fees collected was $195 (6 x $30, 1 x $15). Total game fees paid out were $126 (first place), $63 (runner up). Ray Farley made a 50 break in round robin.
Feb 12th Report: Bruce Johnson came back in both the semifinal & Final from being 2 frames to nil to win in the Best of 5 frames to become the only winner of the QM Six Red Sunday event. Eight players participated with newcomers Micky Monaghan & Dallas Aitken performing well.
January 15th Report: 1st : Bruce Johnson won the inaugural Six Red Sunday @ QMasters defeating fellow Redlands RSL Snooker Club Member Regan Williams 3 frames to 2. HB pool to $42 fclimbsor a maximum 75. The second Six Red Sunday Tournament will be conducted on Sunday 12th February 2012. Hope to see Bruce Johnson as the defending winner front & centre.
